Asma’ al-Ḥusnā
Translation

His all-embracing mercy extends to every creature; the source of universal good.

A special, continual care for the faithful; a nurturing, enduring mercy.

Absolute sovereign of all realms; ownership and command are His alone.

Perfectly pure, free from all deficiency and imperfection.

Origin of safety and tranquility; untouched by harm or flaw.

Grants assurance, confirms the truth, and protects from fear.

Ever-watchful guardian; His knowledge and care encompass all.

All-powerful, unconquerable, noble in might and victory.

Mends the broken and subdues the arrogant by His majesty.

Sole grandeur befitting Him; exalted above all things.

Decrees destinies and brings forms from non-existence to being.

Brings creatures into existence as ordained; sets creation in perfect order.

Gives every being its form, appearance, and uniqueness.

Again and again covers faults and grants pardon.

Dominates everything by His irresistible power.

Gives gifts freely and without limit.

Guarantees sustenance to all in due measure and time.

Opens doors to solutions, victories, and mercy.

Knows the seen and unseen, past and future, in full detail.

Restricts provision and hearts with wise purpose.

Expands provision and inner ease as He wills.

Lowers whomever He wills with justice.

Raises ranks and honors whom He wills.

Bestows strength, honor, and dignity upon His servants.

Abases the prideful in perfect justice.

Hears every sound, supplication, and whisper—without limitation.

Sees all that is apparent and hidden with perfect sight.

Judges with absolute fairness, never biased.

Places everything precisely where it belongs.

Guides goodness gently and with tenderness.

Fully aware of outward and inward details.

Forbearing—does not hasten to punish, though able.

Unmatched greatness and grandeur.

Abundantly forgives sins of those who seek pardon.

Rewards small deeds with multiplied grace; values obedience.

Absolute elevation in rank and authority.

His greatness envelops all; none is more exalted.

Guards and protects creation from ruin.

Provides sufficiency and strength needed by creation.

Sufficient as trustee and the One who takes account.

Majesty that compels reverence; noble and awe-inspiring.

Gives before asked and beyond expectation.

Never heedless; observes every motion and thought.

Answers the prayers of the sincere.

Vast in mercy, knowledge, and bounty—without limit.

Decrees everything with the most fitting wisdom.

Loves His servants and is loved; His love appears in blessings.

Expansive, perfect majesty and honor.

Raises the dead and revives hearts.

Witness to every event; nothing escapes Him.

The reality that never fails; His word and promise are certain.

Guardian of affairs; the One to rely upon.

Strength without limit, never weakened.

Firm, steadfast, and unshakeable in power.

Protecting friend and patron of those near to Him.

Worthy of praise in essence, attributes, and acts.

Counts and records everything precisely.

Initiates creation without precedent.

Brings back life after death; recreates.

Gives life to bodies and to lifeless hearts.

Decrees death as part of the wisdom of creation.

Perfect, unbeginning and unending life.

Self-existent and sustainer of all things.

Finds, attains, and possesses whatever He wills.

Noble in essence and acts; vast in honor.

One in essence, attributes, and acts—without partner.

All depend on Him; He depends on none.

Power to realize whatever He wills.

Irresistible power over the finest details of decree.

Brings forward whom and what He wills with wisdom.

Postpones and defers to the most fitting time.

Nothing precedes Him; the beginning of all beginnings.

Nothing comes after Him; the ultimate end.

Evident through signs of His power; proofs are clear.

Intimately near yet beyond sensory grasp.

Directly governs the affairs of creation.

Exalted above likeness and deficiency.

Excellent and gentle in kindness to His servants.

Guides to repentance and accepts sincere return.

Punishes wrongdoing in due time with justice.

Erases sin until no trace remains for whom He forgives.

Tender compassion and mercy.

Owner of the dominion of heavens and earth; grants and removes power.

Possessor of grandeur, worthy of honor and grateful recognition.

Upholds fairness and gives each their due.

Gathers creation on the Last Day and unites causes of good.

Absolutely free of need; all depend entirely on Him.

Enriches and grants sufficiency to whom He wills.

Prevents harm and withholds for wise reasons.

Allows trials by wisdom; harm and benefit are in His hand.

The true source of benefit; all good comes from Him.

Gives outward and inward light; guidance that illumines hearts.

Leads to the straight path through signs, revelation, and grace.

Creates uniquely without precedent; beauty of creation attests to Him.

Enduring without perish; all else will pass away.

The ultimate heir when all dominion vanishes.

Directs to the soundest, straightest outcomes.

Infinitely patient; does not hasten to punish and grants respite.

The supreme Name encompassing every perfection of attributes and names.
